Social Program for DEM 2015

So after a preparatory trip to Havana a few weeks ago we’ve confirmed all of our social venues for the upcoming DevelopingEM 2015 conference.
Our Welcome Reception on Sunday 13th of September will once again be at the iconic Hotel Nacional de Cuba. Welcome drinks on the back lawn overlooking the Malecon and the Caribbean are followed by mojitos and music in the amazing Sala 1930.

On Monday 14th we’re off to Hemingway’s favourite daiquiri bar El Floridita. Known as the cradle of the daiquiri this incredible venue in Old Havana is a must see. To get there you will be transported in a classic pre-revolutionary car along the beautiful Malecon. It really will be an unforgettable Cuban experience.

Our Gala dinner will be held in Plaza Vieja, a 16th century square in the middle of Old Havana. Restaurant Santo Angel is one of the best restaurants in Havana and their team are putting on an open air extravaganza that will be unforgettable.

On our free nights Havana has so much to offer that it’s hard to know where to start. With new bars and restaurants opening daily there’s a plethora of hip and groovy places to go to have a mojito, a Bucanero, Moros Y Cristianos, listen to some amazing music or dance the salsa. Cuba Absolutely (http://cubaabsolutely.com/index.php) is the best guide to what’s happening in Havana. Check out the June issue here.
